چکیده

We report on very high energy γ-observations with the MAGIC Telescope of the pulsar PSR B1951+32 and its associated nebula, CTB 80. Our data constrain the cutoff energy of the pulsar to be less than 32GeV, assuming the pulsed γ-ray emission to be exponentially cut off. The upper limit on the flux of pulsed γ-ray emission above 75GeV is 4.3 · 10 photons cm sec, and the upper limit on the flux of steady emission above 140GeV is 1.5 ·10 photons cm sec. We discuss our results in the framework of recent model predictions and other studies. Constraints on the Steady and Pulsed Vhe Γ-ray Emission from Observation of Psr B1951+32 / Ctb 80 with the Magic Telescope

30TH INTERNATIONAL COSMIC RAY CONFERENCE Observations of the Pulsar PSR B1951+32 with the Solar Tower Atmospheric Cherenkov Effect Experiment

We present the analysis and results of 12.5 hours of high-energy gamma-ray observations of the EGRET-detected pulsar PSR B1951+32 using the Solar Tower Atmospheric Cherenkov Effect Experiment (STACEE). STACEE is an atmospheric Cherenkov detector, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that detects cosmic gamma rays using the shower-front-sampling technique. STACEE’s sensitivity to astrophysical sources at...

Detection of new Optical Counterpart candidates to PSR B1951+32 with HST/WFPC2

There remain several definitive γ-ray pulsars that are as yet undetected in the optical regime. A classic case is the pulsar PSR B1951+32, associated with the complex CTB 80 SNR. Previous ground based high speed 2-d optical studies have ruled out candidates to mV ∼ 24. Hester (2000a) has reported an analysis of archival HST/WFPC2 observations of the CTB 80 complex which suggest a compact synchr...

A Search for the Optical Counterpart of PSR B 1951 + 32 in the Supernova Remnant CTB 80 ⋆

Using time-resolved two-dimensional aperture photometry we have put upper limits on the pulsed emission from two proposed optical counterparts for PSR B1951+32. Our pulsed upper limits of mv,pulsed > 23.3, mb,pulsed > 24.4, for the first candidate and mv,pulsed > 23.6, mb,pulsed > 24.3 for the second, make it unlikely that either of these is, in fact, the pulsar. We discuss three further candid...

Detection of pulsed MeV emission from PSR B1951+32 by COMPTEL

We report on the detection at MeV energies of the radio pulsar PSR B1951+32 by the Compton telescope COMPTEL aboard the COMPTON Gamma Ray Observatory (CGRO). Folding the event arrival times with the radio ephemerides, gives for the data collected during CGRO-mission Cycles I+II a pulsar-phase distribution with two peaks, consistent in phase with the pulses measured by EGRET for energies above 1...
